the body shop vitamin clustrum set numenume styling wand

I haven’t done a monthly favorites in such a long time – check out my last one here, still a lot of good items on that list!

..Well, I’m back with my October Favorites and it’s a bit of everything – Skincare, Make-up & Hair and not to mention a couple of promo codes for all of your shopping needs!

Benefit Cosmetics, They’re Real Mascara
There is a lot of hype over this product and with great reason! I don’t usually love mascaras that are lengthening and defining but this is my exception. I never use it alone though – always paired with another mascara for the perfect lashes. This is also a great mascara to help blend your natural lashes w/falsies.

Black Opal, True Color, Pore Perfecting Liquid Foundation in Truly Topaz
This is definitely a “YouTube Made Me Buy It” product. I don’t usually love going to the drugstore for base products (foundation & concealers) because there aren’t any testers and the shade range is usually minimal pathetic. I took a gamble w/this one when I was in DC and was pleasantly blown away; Matte Finish, Medium Coverage, Oil Fragrance + Paraben Free. If you’re looking for an inexpensive matte finish foundation w/decent coverage and a yellow/warmer undertone, this is it!

LA Girl, HD Concealer in Espresso
I use this concealer for my contour base and it’s so good! Not only does it stay all day but also the color is cool enough that it creates the contour shadow, perfectly. There are so many options out there for contour base and they’re all so much more expensive than this little gem – a win, win!

Too Faced, Better than Sex Mascara
Again, lots of hype w/this mascara and totally worth it. It’s super dark and inky (which I love), does an amazing job at giving volume, length and va va voom-type lashes. I always use this with my ‘They’re Real’ mascara for the perfect mascara cocktail. What’s different about this mascara than ‘They’re Real’ is that this one is perfect on it’s own also.

Buxom, Full-on Lip Polish in Sophia
I love lip-gloss. Point blank period. With all the matte lipsticks that are flooding the industry right now, I never stray too far from gloss. Maybe it’s ‘cause I’m a 90s kid lol and this lip-gloss from Buxom is so so so pretty! A natural iridescent pink that goes perfect over any neutral, pink or mauve lipstick, so basically this guy never leaves my purse.

Bobbi Brown, Shimmer Brick in Bronze
If you’re new here – Welcome! But I’ll let you know that this is something you will see frequently on my socials, blog and soon to be YouTube Channel! I bought this Shimmer Brick years ago and I haven’t even hit pan yet and I love it more now than I did when I bought it. The gradient of color is perfect for those that want a dynamic cheek product. You can have your highlighter and you can also have your shimmer bronzer. I love it and can’t recommend it, enough!

Lorac Cosmetics Pro Metal Palette, LE
I live for a little shimmer on the eyes, I can’t help it. As popular as everything matte is (read above), I still do enjoy a bit of glow on my lids and I’ve been reaching for this palette frequently since I bought it. The Rose Gold, Amber and Clover shades have me weeeeeeak! OH, and Quartz is a great highlight on the browbone, also.

Huda Beauty Lash Glue
I’ve tried a couple of different lash glues and some may say they’re all the same, but not even close. This lash glue is by far superior to any and every lash glue that I’ve ever tried. I love the black color, dries quickly and is EASY to remove. Glue tends to get stuck between my thick lashes often, even when I use just a little bit and I never have that problem w/this guy.

The Body Shop, Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15
I picked this up on a whim because I was going on vacation to Miami and I wanted a travel size of a daytime moisturizer. The Body Shop is pretty reliable for travel-sized everything but what I didn’t expect was to not only like it, but to love it! What I love about the moisturizer most is that although it’s mattifying and has SPF it’s great under make-up and doesn’t interfere. I would say that it’s probably more ideal for a normal/combo skin as someone with really oily skin might need more oil control.

NuMe Lustrum, Tourmaline 5 Barrel Curling Iron
When it comes to doing my hair, I won’t lie – I’m not a ninja. Seriously, I can cake my face from here to Christmas but when it comes to doing my hair?! *insert some whimpering, huffing and puffing* , so naturally curling wands are the perfect invention that allow me to do the least amount of work with the greatest result. I already owned two curling wands previous to getting the NuMe Lustrum and I liked them but they are stationary in size and that’s a headache when I want to try different things and most importantly when I’m travelling.

The NuMe Lustrum eliminates all of that and more, it comes w/5 different interchangeable barrels that are not only easy to apply and remove but can help you achieve so many different styles! It comes with a 19mm, 25mm, 32mm, tapered 13mm-25mm and a Pearl wand. The 19mm is by far my favorite wand and I even used it in this picture! Not gonna lie though, I still haven’t developed a knack for the Pearl wand haha but NuMe does have tons of inspo online to help you (& me) through it all. It heats up to 410°F, which initially I was unsure about as I’m used to a temperature of 450°F but it performs and holds my styles great, that to be honest I didn’t even notice the difference.

Finally, the reason why this is now my go-to curling wand and has been since I got it is because it’s so easy and compact to travel with! I brought it with my on my trip to both DC & Miami and it definitely earned it’s place in my carry-on, since it comes w/it’s own leather travel case with individual inserts for each wand and a glove.

NuMe also sent me some promo codes that are valid from now until Dec 31st, 2015 for your shopping needs! Whether you want to get the Lustrum set like me or check out something else from their amazing roster of products – I got ya, covered!

Illume Hand Crème in Blackberry Absinthe
I’m a hand cream addict! Seriously I never leave my house without hand cream, LOL even when I’m going to the club haha – I actually need it. I have a couple that I love but this one from Illume smells divine in addition to being incredibly hydrating. Its basically perfume and hand cream in one, but the fragrance settles nicely and isn’t overwhelming.

The Body Shop, Vitamin C Microdermabrasion
I was actually inspired to buy this from Cliona of PeachesOG based on her review earlier last month and boy oh boy, she was bang ON! I am someone who loves both chemical and physical exfoliants and I believe in a balance of both for healthy skin. I liked the fact that this was Vitamin C based, so furthering the enhancement of bright, glowing skin. Microdermabrasion at home, is obviously a diluted version of what you’ll receive at a spa, but this product is a great way to get your skin prepped (if it’s sensitive) or maintain the upkeep in-between appointments. The granules do feel different than your typical exfoliant, which was great (I’ve been bamboozled in the past), smells divine and my skin feels like a baby’s bottom after. Ughhhh, I love love love it – I would definitely recommend it and I would re-purchase it!

What have been your favorites this month? Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Would you? Tell me in the comments down below!
