This Forever 21 Ribbed Knit Sweater dress is one of those pieces that don’t truly give it justice until you try it on. I initially only gravitated towards this dress online because I wanted something simple in this Aubergine/Oxblood colour as I noticed it was lacking in my closet. I figured I would get something basic, that would be easy in terms of sizing and hard to hate.
Not only did I not hate it, I actually freakin’ loved it – so much that I’m planning on buying it in the Black as well! Truthfully, if they had more colours.. like Cream, Red, Cobalt or Olive, I’d be all over those too.
Like quite a bit of the Forever 21 Contemporary collection, this dress can be casual or a bit formal. I really enjoyed the intensity of the hue and I wanted my accessories to complement it without being boring, so I opted for my Gianvito Rossi Plexi pumps and my Michael Kors Tote bag. Unfortunately, both of those pieces are a couple seasons old, so I linked to very similar colours/styles so you can get the look!
Take the casual route instead and pair this dress with a Red lip and a pair of Low-Cut White Converse to give a sexy, casual look or wear Black Over-The-Knee boots, a luxe Blanket Poncho and a Wide-Brimmed Fedora for a classic Fall ensemble.
