Bloop! Hey y’all – I’m finally back with my first outfit post of 2016!!!! I don’t know why I am so excited by this but I am. I recently started re-evaluating who and what I am and what I want to portray and I’m feeling good about being transparent and honest as possible through Simply Shantel. I really want to be able to reflect and look back on posts and always feel like I’m being myself and staying true to my own personal brand. I don’t want to get too caught up in the unnecessary details that can make running a blog and business that much harder and I don’t want to obsess on what others are doing near or far and most importantly, I want to be honest in both my speech and my style. So cheers to a New Year y’all and being 100% real

all black everythingLOL, to be honest I feel like I could easily rob a bank in this all black outfit. That is equally comfortable and very much outside of my comfort zone, given the more casual vibe. It all started by a random pop-in to TopShop and seeing this amazing bomber jacket – they came in a couple of colours actually – Black, Navy and Olive but Black was the most comfortable (and easiest, let’s be honest) way of wearing such a casual piece for me.

To be honest, I think I nailed it and this outfit has been on steady rotation ever since…
