Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the 2015 Cosmetics Outstanding Service Awards hosted by Cosmetics Magazine and Rogers Media. To give you a bit of history – the Cosmetics Magazine is the only Canadian magazine brand to cover the entire beauty business/industry!
Cosmetics Magazine reports on makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrances, nail care and men’s grooming from both a Canadian and a global perspective, in both English and French. My favourite aspect of the print is that it gives much more than just opinions and editorials – it actually reports on the true pulse within the industry, while sharing statistics, numbers, demographics etc etc. I was fortunate to be introduced to the magazine when I was working at Sephora, and obsessively looked forward to each new edition.
Every year the magazine likes to celebrate those on the front-lines in the beauty industry with the COSAs and the Canadian Fragrance Awards. It’s so wonderful that this gala exists, as too frequently those in retail working face to face with clients everyday are forgotten. As someone who worked in Cosmetic services before, I relish in the fact that are efforts, successes and victories are celebrated on such a grand scale.
